Tom Hanks is a great Fred Rogers. There are some moments where you forget he’s an actor playing the television star. There are also some interesting choices with the cinematography as well.
Highlights
While this movie tries to move audiences, it fails because it focuses less on Mr. Rogers and more on a fictional character based loosely on a real individual. There are some moments of greatness but not enough to leave a lasting impression. If you are needing a Mr. Rogers fix, stay home and watch Won’t You be my Neighbor? instead.
